BIAL Foundation celebrates 30 Years with António Damásio and Hanna Damásio in a filled Aula Magna

To mark its 30th anniversary, the BIAL Foundation invited António Damásio and Hanna Damásio to Portugal to present the conference "On the Physiology of the Mind 2024".

On 9 October, the Aula Magna da Reitoria da Universidade de Lisboa welcomed around 1500 people in person and nearly 3000 online to celebrate the 30 Years of the BIAL Foundation with the internationally renowned couple of neuroscientists as guests in an event chaired by the Portuguese Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro.

The event also included the ceremony for the 4th edition of the Maria de Sousa Award, where five young Portuguese researchers took center stage to be awarded in stem cells, stroke, ageing, fungal respiratory disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
